Meet Nala, the longest resident at Hinton SPCA, our staff make sure to taker her on day trips when they can but we are so ready for her to find her forever home!
Nala is a friendly and exuberant soul who adores people, but she prefers to be the only dog in the household. Nala
has been working very hard on leash training and has learned sit, shake and lay down while living at the SPCA. She is extremely motivated by treats. She needs a forever homes that will help her with her focus.
Nala is a fantastic travel companion, riding smoothly in vehicles.
She would flourish in an experienced dog owner's care, especially one with a large yard who is committed to furthering her training and providing the love and attention she deserves. Give Nala the chance to shine in your home and be rewarded with endless love and loyalty in return!

Smokey is an energetic and affectionate Labrador who’s eager for a fresh start. He was surrendered to us because his energy didn’t match his previous home, but this playful boy has so much potential in the right environment.
Smokey is a quick learner and already knows several commands, including sit, shake, lay down, and fetch.
While he’s made great strides, he’s still working on improving his manners. Especially when it comes to jumping up. The good news? These behaviors are decreasing with consistent training and care.
Thanks to professional support from K9 Outcomes, Smokey has made impressive progress. He’s a bright and loving dog who just needs the right guidance to thrive. An experienced dog owner, especially someone familiar with Labs, would be an ideal match for this eager learner.
We also want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Brendalee and Christine from The Spirit Bears Den of Healing. Their compassionate Reiki sessions have been a wonderful part of Smokey’s journey, and we’re so grateful for their dedication to the animals in our care.
He would be a great camping partner.

Olaf was one of 13 dogs we got off the same property. He came to us with very low confidence so we are working with him everyday to boost him up! Olaf loves other dogs and is happiest when he has a canine friend to play with.
We are currently working on getting him to trust new humans, so luckily for Olaf this means he gets to eat wet food from staff's hands (He loves this time of day). Olaf would do best with a dog owner with a lot of experience. He is gentle soul that just needs somebody with the time to take a chance on him.

Meet Cookie! This lovable pup, who is as sweet as his name, is looking for his forever home.
Cookie walks well on leash and knows commands like "Sit" and "Shake-a-paw."
He absolutely adores people and would be thrilled to have a family that can shower him with affection. His favourite thing in the world is when multiplee people are rubbing his belly.
Thank you to our friends at Second Chance Animal Rescue who transferred this darling boy to us. During his time at SCARS Cookie lived with a foster home where he charmed everyone with his friendly personality. He was reported to be house trained and generally has great manners in the home.

Indie is a sweet and loyal female shepherd cross, born right here at the Hinton SPCA on July 25, 2024. she was adopted out as a puppy, but the adoption turned out to be incompatible and she was returned to us February 22, 2025. She’s a friendly girl with an exuberance for life! She already knows how to sit and shake paws like a pro.
Indie’s future forever home would have to help her with her leash manners. She is a smart girl so with consistency, she will learn quickly.
When it comes to children Indie would do best in a home with children who are 12 and older. Indie does well with other dogs when introduced properly. She has no history with cats.

He loves sniffing around outside (as any good hound does!) and would thrive in a home where he can get regular walks and plenty of love.
