Meet Nala, the longest resident at Hinton SPCA, our staff make sure to taker her on day trips when they can but we are so ready for her to find her forever home!
Nala is a friendly and exuberant soul who adores people, but she prefers to be the only dog in the household. Nala
has been working very hard on leash training and has learned sit, shake and lay down while living at the SPCA. She is extremely motivated by treats. She needs a forever homes that will help her with her focus.
Nala is a fantastic travel companion, riding smoothly in vehicles.
She would flourish in an experienced dog owner's care, especially one with a large yard who is committed to furthering her training and providing the love and attention she deserves. Give Nala the chance to shine in your home and be rewarded with endless love and loyalty in return!

Olaf was one of 13 dogs we got off the same property. He came to us with very low confidence so we are working with him everyday to boost him up! Olaf loves other dogs and is happiest when he has a canine friend to play with.
We are currently working on getting him to trust new humans, so luckily for Olaf this means he gets to eat wet food from staff's hands (He loves this time of day). Olaf would do best with a dog owner with a lot of experience. He is gentle soul that just needs somebody with the time to take a chance on him.

Ilya is a kind and affectionate short haired dog with a heart full of love to give. She came to us through Second Chance Animal Rescue while pregnant and lovingly raised eight beautiful puppies (All of whom have now found their forever homes )
Now it’s Ilya’s turn to find the loving family she deserves.
She’s a well-mannered girl who walks beautifully on leash. In fact, she’s a favorite among our volunteer dog walkers! Ilya also knows her basic commands, like “sit,” and is eager to please.

Indie is a sweet and loyal female shepherd cross, born right here at the Hinton SPCA on July 25, 2024. she was adopted out as a puppy, but the adoption turned out to be incompatible and she was returned to us February 22, 2025. She’s a friendly girl with an exuberance for life! She already knows how to sit and shake paws like a pro.
Indie’s future forever home would have to help her with her leash manners. She is a smart girl so with consistency, she will learn quickly.
When it comes to children Indie would do best in a home with children who are 12 and older. Indie does well with other dogs when introduced properly. She has no history with cats.
She adores human companionship and would make a wonderful adventure buddy or snuggle partner. Come meet Indie and let her show you just how much love she has to give!

Mars is truly out of this world! This kind and loving boy is looking for a forever home to call his own.
Mars was a transfer from Second Chance Animal Rescue, after they rescued him and his 3 siblings from either freezing or starving outside during a cold Albertan winter.
Mars loves people, in his mind he is the perfect lap dog, even though he is close to 100 pounds.
Mars is leash trained.

Olive was a loving mom who came to us with her litter of eight puppies. They have all found their forever homes, Now it's Olive's turn!
Olive has not had the easiest life, she was found in a cardboard box with her own litter of puppies and another mother that also had a litter. The other mother had mastitis so Olive was feeding both litters.
Now, Olive is learning life outside of "survival mode". She is enjoying frequent meals, a soft bed to sleep on and loving humans to give her a scratch behind the ears.
Olive is unsure about men, needing a slow and proper introduction to them.
When in comes to human affection Olive is making up for lost time because she LOVES to cuddle with the staff.
Darlin'

Darling was transferred to us via Hinton Bylaw.
She is an energetic and friendly girl.
She is extremely intelligent, but does need a home that would help her with basic training. Darlin’ would thrive in a home that has time to commit to daily exercise
